About Patch and this Blog
-I'm known on the internet as Patch.
I have been a practising Hellenic polytheist for 4 years.
- After following a re-con methodology for a number of years, I became unable to ignore the call to witchcraft and so here I am today exploring how this fits into my practice. This blog primarily deals with devotional worship, Hellenic polytheism, pagan living and a whole lot of navel gazing.

Hekate’s Deipnon and other activities!
I have stayed true to my word recently about getting my shit together again with worship. I decided to kick start this month with a proper observance for Hekate’s Deipnon, the first in a long time. I spent the afternoon of that day doing … Continue reading

A is for a new start
What a shambles last year was both for practice and for blogging. I’m not angry at myself in any way though. After all, most of my year was spent ill with depression and anxiety (I am doing much better now, … Continue reading

Hera has been on my mind all day
My desire to approach my shrines and sit with her grew throughout the day. I found myself giving up on work and heading upstairs to clear my room of Christmas debris. I put away some of my gifts, and so many of … Continue reading

Illness (TW:Depression)
At the beginning of the year, I set myself goals. Realistic, attainable goals about where I would like to be by the end of the year in terms of my religious practice. I have achieved precisely one of them. Nor … Continue reading

Dammit Mom!
A common devotional thing that I do for Hermes is to offer him loose change. I just scoop up lots of coppers from my purse and put them in a handmade clay amphora I bought for him in Crete. I … Continue reading
Dark moon goodness!
Firstly, I just want to mention that I have finished work at the hospital for a few months. I really enjoyed my time there and will be sad to leave. I had to present a case study about a patient with bacterial meningitis, … Continue reading

Updates
Not too long after my last post, I completely dismantled my altar save for a few essential items (an incense burner, an offering bowl and my statue of Hermes who I am honouring daily at the moment). If you were … Continue reading

What I was up to
Before my life was taken up by looking at bacteria in blood and faeces (believe it or not, I actually chose this career), I was looking to bring about some important changes in my spiritual practice. For now this has … Continue reading

D is for Deipnon
I didn’t do a pagan blog project post last week as I just didn’t have the time. I technically still don’t have time, and so this post does not go into half as much detail as I would have liked … Continue reading

A is for aphrodite
This year I have decided to take part in the Pagan Blog Project. Each week, using a letter as a prompt I will be blogging about something related to my path, or paganism in general. I though it would be … Continue reading
