About Patch and this Blog
-I'm known on the internet as Patch.
I have been a practising Hellenic polytheist for 4 years.
- After following a re-con methodology for a number of years, I became unable to ignore the call to witchcraft and so here I am today exploring how this fits into my practice. This blog primarily deals with devotional worship, Hellenic polytheism, pagan living and a whole lot of navel gazing.

Theogamia 2013
Theogamia began at sundown on Thursday. It is the ancient Athenian festival in celebration of the marriage of Zeus and Hera. Since Hera has become pretty damn important to me this year, I decided to make this a big event in my calendar! … Continue reading

Hekate’s Deipnon and other activities!
I have stayed true to my word recently about getting my shit together again with worship. I decided to kick start this month with a proper observance for Hekate’s Deipnon, the first in a long time. I spent the afternoon of that day doing … Continue reading

Hera has been on my mind all day
My desire to approach my shrines and sit with her grew throughout the day. I found myself giving up on work and heading upstairs to clear my room of Christmas debris. I put away some of my gifts, and so many of … Continue reading

Dammit Mom!
A common devotional thing that I do for Hermes is to offer him loose change. I just scoop up lots of coppers from my purse and put them in a handmade clay amphora I bought for him in Crete. I … Continue reading
Thanks, Homes, Altars and Books!
I got the results back from my exams today, the ones I thought I’d definitely fail. Well, I actually passed the year with 70%, which is brilliant! My prayers to Athene and Hermes were answered, and so now I am going to … Continue reading

D is for Deipnon
I didn’t do a pagan blog project post last week as I just didn’t have the time. I technically still don’t have time, and so this post does not go into half as much detail as I would have liked … Continue reading

‘Woo’ of the week -Ladybirds and one eyed Tramps
I always worry about posting ‘woo’ stuff on this blog. I worry that some people will be turned off reading because they find what I have written to be too far-fetched, and I simultaneously worry that others will find what I write too … Continue reading

My altar is all set up in the new flat with an autumnal cloth. I found the big shell that is holding the incense on the beach! Lots of candles burned last night. I had lots of prayers.

Moving the altar (again!)
From Saturday onwards I will officially live in just one place again! yay! Therefore, my altar once again needs to be packed up and transported to a new place. This year I am taking the set of drawers that it sits upon … Continue reading

Hints of Presence
Yesterday I came home from from my new flat (right now I’m stretched between two places, which is a little awkward and not all that cost effective either) and went straight upstairs to my altar. I finished burning down a candle … Continue reading
